Things to Do

  • Bass (3 species), crappie, catfish, walleye, bluegill, striper, white bass; year-round open; TWRA license info

  • Water skiing, wakeboarding, tubing, cruising, and more. Hidden waterfalls and coves make this lake ideal for kayaking and canoeing.

  • State parks offer various campgrounds including RV parking, traditional camping and more. There are also several campgrounds in the greater area.

  • This is the perfect place to kill some time. Center Hill Lake houses 3 state parks. Visit any of them or explore the region. You’ll find plenty of remote vantage points, trails, caves, waterfalls, and more.

  • Sunbathe and take a dip at a few designated swimming areas at the lake. The shoreline is open but designated areas make it easy to access and some feature sandy beach areas.

    • Ragland Bottom

    • Floating Mill

    • Rock Island State Park

  • ~20,000 public acres · whitetail deer, turkey, squirrel, rabbit · TWRA license required.

  • Venture into the woods at one of the state parks or surrounding parks and be amazed! Listen to the songbirds and if you’re patient and quiet, you may see a bald eagle, deer, turkey or rabbit. No worries - this part of Tennessee doesn’t really have predatory animals you need to watch out for. Just the snakes!
